In Canvas, question pools are called Item Banks<\/strong>. These contain your quiz questions and can be reused across quizzes and courses. You can share an Item Bank with another user or to another Canvas course. This guide explains how to work with Item Banks<\/strong> in Canvas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to Enable Item Banks in your Canvas<\/strong><\/strong> course<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    To access item banks in your course:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Go to Settings<\/strong> from the course navigation menu.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      2. In Settings, select the Navigation<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      3. Scroll down to find the item banks item. Click the three dots<\/strong> to enable this item and move it to where you would prefer in the navigation menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      4. Make sure to save<\/strong> your changes using the save button at the bottom of the page. Item banks should now appear in the navigation menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How to Share your item banks<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

      You can share an Item Bank with another user or to another Canvas course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Select Item Banks<\/strong> from the navigation menu.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        2. Click the Share<\/strong> icon for the item bank you would like to transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \u26a0\ufe0f Note: At present, there is no way to transfer item banks in bulk.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

        3. In the window that appears, choose whether to share<\/strong> the item bank with other users (People<\/em> tab), courses or both. At a minimum, it should be shared with yourself as well as the course you would like to use it in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        4. Specify whether you would like to allow each user to view only or edit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \u26a0\ufe0f You have to do this one by one<\/strong>. There\u2019s currently no \u201cbulk share all item banks\u201d button.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
