What is Cadmus?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Cadmus is a secure online assessment platform accessed through Canvas. It facilitates the whole assessment cycle from assessment design through to release of grades and feedback, as well as providing insights into student engagement
with an assignment over time. Cadmus also provides immediate support and guidance for students on, for example, good academic practice while they are creating their submissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I add a Cadmus assignment link to Canvas?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Adding a Cadmus assignment link to Canvas is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to seamlessly integrate Cadmus into your Canvas course:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to your Canvas course<\/strong>: Log in to Canvas, go to \u2018Courses\u2019 from the global navigation menu, and select the course where you want to add the Cadmus link:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to Assignments<\/strong>: In the course navigation menu, click on ‘Assignments’:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a new assignment<\/strong>: Click on the ‘+ Assignment’ button to create a new assignment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assignment name and description<\/strong>. Enter an assignment name and add a description in the box below the assignment name:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Points:<\/strong> Do not leave this blank<\/u>. <\/em>Enter a value here to ensure that grades pull through from Cadmus correctly. If you are unsure what to input, then enter 100, so that the assignment is marked out of 100 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assignment group<\/em><\/strong>.<\/em> Leave as the default \u2018Assignments\u2019 option unless you wish to associate this is a specific assignment group<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Display grade as<\/em><\/strong>.<\/em> Leave as points or change to percentage, whichever you prefer. Alternatively, if this is an ungraded assignment then select \u2018Not Graded\u2019 from the drop-down menu<\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Find Cadmus<\/strong>. Within the same \u2018Submission type\u2019 box, click on the ‘Find’ button to open the list of external tools:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Locate and select \u2018Cadmus Assignment\u2019 from the list, and then click on the \u2018Select\u2019 button:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Submission attempts<\/strong>. Ensure that this is set to \u2018Unlimited\u2019 so that submissions and grades are passed through to Canvas correctly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
