Previewing quizzes in Canvas allows you to review how students will experience the quiz, ensuring everything functions as intended before it is published. Below are the steps to preview quizzes in Canvas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DO NOT use Student View to preview quizzes<\/strong>. Opening a quiz in Student View<\/em> immediately counts as a student attempt, which then prevents you from making further edits. This happens the moment you click Begin<\/em>, even if you don’t answer any questions or submit the quiz.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

  1. From the course menu select Quizzes<\/strong>.

  2. Click the 3 dots to the right-hand side of your quiz and select Build<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Click the Preview <\/strong>button in the top-right. This will give you the opportunity to view the quiz as a student would.

  4. You can Submit<\/strong> or Exit Preview<\/strong> without saving the data.
