You can view your grades and feedback in two ways: by accessing each individual course to see a detailed breakdown for every quiz and assignment, or by viewing a summary across all your courses, which displays the current average grade for each one.
IMPORTANT: The grades and scores that you see in Canvas are provisional and subject to final ratification at Exam board.
Individual Course Grades and Feedback
Step 1: Navigate to the course for which you wish to see your grades.
Step 2: Select Grades in the left-hand course menu. This will open up a list of all your completed Canvas assignments within that course.
Step 3: You can sort this list by Due Date, Module and Name.
Step 4: Some assignment grades may not be visible if they have not been released yet.
Step 5: You can control how your total grade is calculated and displayed in Canvas using the Calculate based only on graded assignments setting in the right-hand side panel.
- Tick the box to view your current grade based only on work that has already been submitted and marked.
- Untick the box for a more accurate overall grade. This option includes all assignments – even those not yet submitted, which are counted as zero in the total grade calculation.
